Construction Industry and Industry

Generated by the construction boom in the 60th of last century the company HÜDIG develops and manufactures pump-units mainly for the construction industry. HÜDIG could transfer valuable, long-standing experience out of this into other commercial sectors and could develop special pumps, pump units, generator sets and necessary accessories for different applications. Our strength lies in this diversity.
HÜDIG-Vacuum-Units are in service by satisfied customers all over the world. The power-saving technique is completed by the use of robust plant components. So for example sewage pumps are used as discharge pumps.
HÜDIG-Dewatering Technology-Product Groups
HÜDIG Electrical Vacuum Pump Units convince through perfected technology and have been proven thousandfold all over the world. The units are designed in the minutest detail and according to a modular system. Beside a high operation safety and very good performance characteristics a low maintenance is required by the construction practice. The results of these demands are our new series HC 467 resp. HC 468 as well as HC 487 resp. HC 488.

Air Separation Chamber

The Hüdig air separation chambers are serially hot galvanized and therefore they provide long-term protection against corrosion. High air separation chamber capacities ensure a low switch frequency of the water resp. the vacuum pumps.
Out of it a better efficiency and a longer service life of the whole unit results.
Switch Board

The water resp. vacuum pumps are switched on and off through an electrode system. This kind of control system has against a cycled floating system control system the advantage of being insensitive to long-term.
The used electrical components are commercially available components. Therefore a quick spare parts supply is ensured in case of emergency. A so-called phase protective relay ensures that the electric motors are always operated in the correct direction of rotation.
Vacuum Pumps
In HÜDIG electrical vacuum units of the series HC 467/ ... and HC 487/ ... rotary vacuum pumps are used with circulation lubrication. They convince with large air output even at high vacuum. These pumps operate at frost, as well as in tropical temperatures faultlessly. Damages by frost or lack of cooling water are not possible. Even the annoying daily operating water control does not apply to oil-lubricated pumps. If a vacuum pump is required with oil-and water-free lubrication, so even this is possible through the use of HÜDIG-vacuum pump. On the HÜDIG vacuum pump units of the series HC 468/ ... and HC 488/ ... oil-and water-free air pumps are installed. The noise emission level for these vacuum pumps in 7 m distance is maximum of 52 dB (A).

The professionals know the function of this aggregate of the almost legendary HÜDIG vacuum aggregates of the series HC 550. Concerning the performance parameters the HC aggregate 522 is for conveying of smaller quantities of groundwater. Compared with classical displacement pumps, as piston or diaphragm pumps, this aggregate is insensitive to convey sandy groundwater. Through the use of an additional vacuum generator a reliable conveying is taking place also when having larger air volume. Based on the use of vacuum dewatering there often exist high air volumes due to air pockets. Additionally the vacuum generator produces in total a higher vacuum compared to piston pumps. Based on this the ground water could be pumped from deeper horizons.

Base Frame

The aggregate is mounted as standard on a galvanized tank-skid base-frame suitable for a 24 h operation. If requested the unit can be supplied with a 3-days fuel-tank. In this version the engine has a larger oil pan and therefore the "next" maintenance interval can confidently take place after the weekend. There is also the option to equip the aggregate with an additional oil pan. With it the aggregate has a double-walled tank and is protected against accidental fuel and oil spillage. The transport can take place through the crane lifting lug or the forklift slots. The noise protected version of the aggregate has a solid galvanized frame. This provides a good mechanical protection against any damage during transport of the aggregate. The doors afford broad access to the controls and ensure a certain level of comfort during maintenance.
Air Separation Chamber

The air separation chamber consists as standard out of galvanized sheet steel and is therefore optimally protected against corrosion.
Engine
As power source an air-cooled diesel engine of European production is used.
Water Pump

When a filter casing is accidently broken or open dewatering will be practised, this is not a problem for HÜDIG electrical vacuum aggregates.
Through the use of self-priming waste water pumps a premature failure caused by conveying sanded water will be counteracted. An absolute advantage!
Vacuum Generator

In HÜDIG diesel vacuum aggregates dry running rotary vacuum generators are used. They convince with large air capacity even at high vacuum. These pumps are robust and operate at frost, as well as in tropical temperatures faultlessly. Damages by frost or lack of cooling water are not possible. Even the annoying daily control of operating water as well as the oil change intervals does not apply to oil free vacuum generators.

In the application for dewatering the piston pump was used for many years as a reliable pump unit. In the 70th of the last century, the piston pump was increasingly replaced by modern vacuum units. Demanded greater efficiency in capacity was essentially the reason for this. The vacuum of piston pumps is in practice limited to a suction lift of 7 m water column and also the real flow rate does not exceed the 70 m³ / h per unit (air performance, water performance or a mixture of both). Of course, several units can increase the total capacity, but this is associated with a higher use of equipment and therefore more costly. Demands are made to the quality of conveyed groundwater. Sandy water leads to premature erosion and can cause premature failure of the unit and therewith unforeseeable consequential damages. Nevertheless, there are niches for the application of piston pumps. These could be found, for example in the so-called line construction site (pipeline construction).
The HC 271 is designed for heavy duty use on construction sites. An outer galvanized steel frame with integrated pan provides a very good protection against mechanical damage from outside and also a spilling protection of liquids. The aggregates are stackable and the solid supporting construction provides secure acceptance of the load hook. The engine with the large oil pan in combination with the properly sized fuel tank enables a 24/7 operation at full load. The piston pump has an automatic lubrication. Long service life can be achieved by over-sized bearings and low piston speed. The piston pump has a built in air chamber. Due to this pressure compensation the hoses will be prevented from damage during long distance, for example. The pulsation of the hoses is practically suppressed.

Structure

The pump aggregates (except for type HC 160) are mounted on a pneumatic-tired single-axial chassis and therewith portable (6 km / h). The removable truck drawbar, the battery box and the crane eye are standard.
A solid welded tank frame chassis made out of steel with extra-large fuel capacity characterizes the HC 180/05 unit.
