Agritechnica 2023

Precision in irrigation

Hüdig Celle at the trade fair for agriculture in Hanover

At this year's Agritechnica in Hanover, we presented the latest developments in the field of agricultural irrigation. Visitors had the opportunity to take a closer look at the Iromat II Tandem irrigation machine and the new DW18 irrigation boom. This year, the focus was clearly on the even and efficient application of water.

The DW18 offers several advantages in agricultural irrigation and contributes to greater efficiency, water savings and better crop yields.

Here are some of the key benefits:

Precise irrigation:
Irrigation booms allow for precise and targeted water application. This allows farmers to irrigate specific areas of the field and deliver water directly to the plants that need it.

Even water distribution:
Booms help to distribute water evenly across the entire field. This uniformity is crucial for consistent plant growth and yields, as it prevents over- or under-irrigation in different areas.

Water saving
Precision irrigation with booms reduces water waste by directing water straight to the root zone of plants. This targeted application minimizes water runoff and evaporation, helping to conserve water.

Reduced soil erosion:
By directing water directly to the root zone without causing excessive surface runoff, the DW18 helps to minimize soil erosion. This is particularly important to maintain soil structure and prevent nutrient loss.
