HÜDIG – Wear-resistant pumping technology with practical handling
Submersible Pump Toyo-DP50
This project involved more than selecting a suitable pump. The customer required a complete assembly combining wear-resistant pumping technology with practical handling and adjustable pump control.
The TOYO DP50-7 was installed in a hot-dip galvanised frame fitted with protective mesh. The mesh openings are smaller than the pump’s maximum solids passage, helping to keep oversized debris from entering the pump. Lifting points on the frame allow the assembly to be lifted and positioned by crane.
A variable frequency drive controls the pump, allowing its speed to be adjusted to suit operating requirements. A wired remote control with approximately 25 metres of cable enables operation at a distance from the control cabinet. Switching via float switches is also possible.
The variable frequency drive is housed in a stainless steel control cabinet mounted on its own frame, which is also designed for crane lifting. Both the pump assembly and the controls can therefore be repositioned on site using a crane.
