HC522/17 - the economical all-rounder!
In times of sharply rising raw material and fuel prices, the focus on economical and efficiently operating diesel units is becoming ever greater.
With the HC522/17, we have developed an economical all-rounder that impresses with its compact design combined with low fuel consumption and high vacuum performance.
These reasons were decisive for Aquatech Dewatering to use the HC522/17 for groundwater lowering.
The diesel-powered vacuum unit was able to prove its worth in a number of applications in small to medium-sized projects. Driven by this success, the subsidiary Aquatech Pump & Power decided to promote the marketing of HÜDIG products in North America. As an experienced user of various pumping technologies, Aquatech knows the advantages of the HÜDIG technology and especially the HC522/17 and additionally speaks the customers' language.
In a project lasting several months, the HC522/17 was once again put to the test. In addition to a working depth of over six meters, over 50 filter lances were used, which the HC522/17 mastered with flying colors. What's more, this unit is capable of pumping dirty water with solids of up to 45mm.
Unlike piston pumps, the vacuum-assisted unit separates the water/air mixture by means of a sophisticated system. This provides optimal flooding of the water pump to ensure efficient dewatering of the soil. At a load of 50%, the HC522/17 consumes only 1 l of diesel per hour - considering the high performance of this unit, this value is first class!
Many vacuum pumps use oil to lubricate the moving parts. Our system is "dry running" and does not use oil or other lubricants at all.
This allows application in ecologically sensitive terrain as well as inhabited areas of large cities.
