PE pipe quality grade S - Made by Egeplast

Polyethylene is used in a wide variety of industries and is by far the most widely used plastic in the world. There are several types of polyethylene, such as high-density polyethylene (PE-HD), linear low-density polyethylene (PE-LLD) and low-density polyethylene (PE-LD).

PE pipe must withstand the most adverse conditions in agricultural applications. In addition to the strong tensile forces, PE pipe is exposed to high pressure and permanent solar radiation. For this reason, particularly hard-wearing polyethylene is required, which must also be durable.

For our irrigation machines of the Iromat I - V series, as well as for other product groups, we use high-density polyethylene pipes of the Superior (S) quality from Egeplast. Egeplast, based in Greven near Osnabrück, Germany, is a highly innovative manufacturer of plastic pipe systems that has been setting standards for decades. In over 30 countries, customers like us rely on Egeplast's quality products for transporting gases, data and, above all, water.

In cooperation with HÜDIG, Egeplast has further developed and refined the PE pipe of the HÜDIG Iromat irrigation systems over the years. Please keep in mind, the PE-pipe is partly exposed to considerable stress with regard to tensile load, stones in the ground and UV-irradiation. Service lives, even with regular use, of over 20 years in some cases are not uncommon.
